2018 Children & Authenticity Conference
PUTTING AUTHENTICITY INTO PRACTICE
October 27th and 28th, Borough of Manhattan Community College
The theme of this year's conference is "Putting Authenticity into Practice." The centerpiece is hands-on professional development to help educators bring authenticity-focused social emotional learning (SEL) into their classrooms, schools, and communities.
We are offering workshops in two parallel tracks. The first track is for educators new to authenticity-based SEL; the second is a more advanced track for those who have completed our introductory Authenticity in the Classroom training.
The conference also features plenaries, networking events, poster sessions, presentations, and a screening and discussion of the documentary Won't You Be My Neighbor?
**Children's Arts Guild is a NYSED certified professional development sponsor. New York State educators can receive up to 16 CTLE Credits by attending the conference. **
Letter of Support: Make a case for your attendance with a letter that highlights the value of this professional development opportunity.
