The Children's Arts Guild encourages children to embrace, value, and express their own experiences through creativity, and in the process discover the joy and excitement of learning.
Join us on April 28th for an artful mixer hosted by our Board member Ashley Stewart and her colleagues at Salon 94. Meet great people, make some art, and support children's creative development.
Since its creation in 2002, the mission of Salon 94 has grown from producing special artist projects in a non-traditional home setting, to representing emerging and established artists such as Huma Bhabha, Marilyn Minter, Sylvie Fleury, David Benjamin Sherry, Laurie Simmons, and Betty Woodman. Recent additions to the gallery’s roster include Nathaniel Mary Quinn, Lyle Ashton Harris, and Judy Chicago. Salon 94 continues to embrace its founding mission to both premiere the work of emerging artists and reintroduce the work of mid-career artists.
Salon 94 is active in both the primary and secondary market and operates out of three exhibition locations in New York City. A satellite exhibition space debuted in September 2007 on the Lower East Side with sculptural work by Huma Bhabha. In 2010, a third exhibition space opened around the corner on the Bowery. Located steps from The New Museum, both galleries strive to provide more accessibility to visitors to the developing downtown art scene.
