THE SPRING WE STAYED IN: A Virtual Art Exhibition
At the Children’s Arts Guild, we believe that all children need opportunities to tell their stories and explore and develop their authentic selves. So every spring, we ask the children in our programs to make portraits of themselves and the world around them. Now, more than ever, we want to give children an opportunity to express their authentic experiences and process what it means to live through this challenging time. So this year, we’re inviting children from across the country to create an art piece about “The Spring We Stayed In.” The art will be featured in a special online exhibition this summer.
Children can create their work on their own or you can complete a piece together as a family. Invite your child (or your family) to paint, draw, sculpt, build, or create in any way they like. To get started, ask your child (or your family) to think about the following questions:
During the “Spring We Stayed In:”
What have you been thinking about?
How have you been spending your time?
How are you keeping in touch with your friends?
What are you hopeful for?
When you’re ready, take a picture of what you’ve created and submit using the form below. Submissions will be accepted on a rolling basis.
